Saxon's Black & Tan Bars
These are for human consumption only.
1 cup real butter
1 cup brown sugar
40 saltine crackers (1 sleeve)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Chopped Pecans (1 bag)
- Pre-heat Oven to 350
- Line cookie sheet with foil.
- Put saltines in cookie sheet.
- Boil butter and brown sugar for 3 minutes. Do not just heat the butter and sugar.
- Pour over saltines.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until crackers float.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle on chocolate chips.
- When chips are melted, spread with spatula.
- Add pecans if desired.
- Chill for a few hours
- Break or cut into pieces.
