BARKLEY OF OKLAHOMA

At 6 years old, Barkley had spent most of his life outdoors. When his owners were ready to give him up, Oklahoma Airedale Rescue (OKAR) was there to take him in. When Barkley came into rescue, his ears were so infected the volunteers thought he had hearing loss! Both ears and eyes were severely infected. Subsequent vet visits revealed that Barkley also had a low thyroid, so he was started on thyroid meds to take care of it. He knows basic commands, sit, down and “sometimes” here and is one of the sweetest rescues we’ve ever had, really enjoying his walks and interaction with people.

Barkley has been adopted and is really enjoying life as the apple of his new Mom’s eye.

He looks like he's saying "Hi - I'm Barkely!"

Home at last!

Remember that Early 'Dale Drawing No. 6 ends on Saturday, August 23rd at 8 PM EDT.  There are 2 incentives - 6A, Airedale with Crown Pillow made and donated by Kreativbyerikia and 6B, Sitting Airedale statue made and donated by Linda Hobbet.
