Every dog has a story. Mudpups captures it in clay. Pets fast become our world. They make us laugh, they make us cry, and with their scampering and smiles reserved just for us, they bring us unbridled joy and happiness.

Animal lover and sculptor, Wendy Hodgson, understands this and has dedicated many years to sculpting man’s best friend, capturing unmistakable details of our furry friends in free form clay.

A passionate Airedale owner (5 year old Charlie Brown and 10 month old Schroder), Wendy started offering ready-made and custom work for fellow owners and has since opened her sculpting to other breeds – creating both dogs and cats.

Studying photography, quizzing owners for telling personality traits and habits and researching the anatomy, colouring and mannerisms, Wendy’s work is meticulously thorough to capture the true essence of your pet.

Using a mix of raw clays, porcelain and coloured stains, all materials used are non-toxic and pet friendly so you (and your pet) can kiss it goodnight.

Delivering worldwide, all sculptures are made in Wendy’s studio on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Wendy suggested this sculpture could also be used as a card holder.  I'm so jealous that I can't participate in the Early 'Dale Drawings or the milestone incentives, but I feel it would be a conflict of interest since I am doing the blog.  Therefore, I will have to content myself with enjoying the wins through the eyes of the winners.
