Quilted Block

Pam Jones, who was initially scheduled to make this block, shared the following with me. She said Linda Hobbet, the artist, picked the Pirate theme; however, Pam said “I used to accuse my first Airedale, Dixon, of being a pirate. He was very vocal and sometimes made a noise like arggh - like a pirate. He also was known to pirate things from the counter if not watched.” 

Unfortunately, Pam was not able to make this block and Jeri Langman was kind enough to step forward and make it and save the day at the last minute.

Here’s a photo of the back of the finished, but unquilted, block. This is before the backing has been sewn on by the quilter.
